Calibre did not flag that the book was already in there. Calibre added the book into the author folder alongside the previous copy of the book (same file size, same format, metadata, and cover image). But for some authors, they do not appear if I search their names (this is not a Virtual Library issue).Ģ) For the author above, I re-added a book by the author who was not found. At the same time I uninstalled and re-installed Calibre as it kept crashing trying to access the previous library (which is why I moved it).ġ) Calibre is not recognizing all the books in the library - I have not done anything in terms of manually editing the folder/file structure. I copied the entire library to a new local drive. It also lets you edit its metadata from the interface of the program and explore the collection of eBooks from a web browser.I had to move my library the other day due to issues with cloud syncing. It supports all kinds of formats, both reading and conversion, from the most popular ones like ePub, PDF, txt, or RTF to the export to fb2, OEB or MOBI.Īnother one of its most valued features is the possibility to synchronize your books with your eBook reader, be it an Amazon Kindle or other models like Papyre, Cybook or the Sony PRS.Ĭalibre uses a Cover Flow style interface to navigate through the covers of the books. One of the most interesting features lets you convert between eBook formats, transform a newsfeed to an eBook or synchronize the eBooks with an external device. You can organize your collection by author, publication date or publisher, among others. Plus, you can adapt the files to fit your device's reader format. Calibre is an eBook manager, organizer, and reader that can help you organize and catalog your collection.
